Back of Beyond Adventures started initially as a Sunday Club for students looking to grow their skillset as they moved forward in life and to help them meet their aspirations in getting to those harder to reach locations on this planet.
Working their way through the canoe and kayak award schemes gave them journeying skills, completing the Surf Lifesaving Awards, Basic Life Support and Emergency First Aid gave them rescue skills, and wild camping taught them ensure the foundations of survival were in place: warmth, shelter, food and water and coasteering and surfing taught them to embrace change and to stay in the present…. and more importantly… that fun should be a part of this crazy life.
