Private Stand Up Paddleboard Lesson

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Departure point: River Lane, Richmond
Cost: £90 per person, £150 for 2 people, £195 for 3 people or £240 for 4 people.

Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons are a fun-packed way to take to the water and try a new skill.

Under the wing of our friendly, expert instructors they will get to grips with paddling techniques on a micro-adventure along the River Thames. During the session they will learn about water safety and the rules of the river, launching and landing and the basics of forward paddling and turning.

The adventure starts here!

Duration: 3 hours
Departure point: River Lane, Richmond
Cost: £50 per person

Suggested itinerary

They’ll receive a (re)introduction to paddling, along with some guidance on where to paddle, and we’ll provide them with a dry bag that can be used to take a towel, food, phone and wallet with them.

Paddling towards Twickenham, they’ll get to explore the islands and backwaters of the Thames, before mooring up to pause for a pint at one of the paddle friendly, riverside pubs along the way. There will have time for a quick drink before returning to the river to paddle back to Petersham Meadows and River Lane.

Once back, they’ll return their dry bags, buoyancy aids, paddles and craft, before heading to Petersham Meadows for a lunchtime picnic or to Petersham Nurseries for some afternoon tea!
